About Us "Adoption Matters Northwest is an adoption agency which aims to improve the lives of children who may otherwise be denied the benefits of a secure family environment. As a specialist adoption agency covering the whole of the Northwest UK, we will recruit and prepare people who are willing and able to adopt or provide permanent care for these children. Our services are designed to support all those whose lives have been affected by adoption and other types of long term care. We will work in partnership with other adoption agencies. We are a Christian organisation which aims to make a positive difference to children and families of all faiths or none. We will ensure that all people who use our services are treated with dignity, professionalism and respect, without discrimination". Adoption Matters Northwest is a specialist voluntary adoption agency. Our main aim is to find families for children who, for one reason or another, are no longer able to live with their birth families. We exist as an organisation with only one purpose: to provide a comprehensive advice and support service for all those who are considering adoption, or who have been touched by it. We have a national reputation for professionalism. We've been providing these services for over 60 years. In that time, we've placed more than 3,500 children. Some families have adopted one; some have adopted as many as five brothers and sisters together! Our services are available to everyone living throughout the North West of England and North East Wales. For adopters, our help and support post adoption remains permanently available. For more information contact us. Facts and figures Less than 5% of our placements break down, compared with a national average of around 20%, thanks in part to our thoroughness and our dedication, preparation and support. We have a committed team of sensitive professionals, at your service. We're a registered charity and our services are provided to people of all beliefs and backgrounds, without discrimination. We have close links with adoption agencies, local authorities and with national bodies, such as the British Association for Adoption and Fostering (BAAF).
